F&B Director Dan Durkin was born in Wisconsin, but moved to Colorado with his family when he was 12. It was when he was going to Colorado State University that he started cooking in restaurants, where his passion for cooking was ignited.
He likes the multiple aspects of the restaurant business and it was something that he has always wanted to learn. He has had the opportunity to work under people who had followed their instincts and made a name for themselves. Dan saw a lot of himself in those people; so he figured it would make more sense for him to get into a Culinary program. So, Dan enrolled in the Colorado School of Culinary Arts, finished the two-year program, and became a Chef.
During his culinary tenure, Dan has worked alongside Colorado’s most celebrated Chef, Kevin Taylor, and he also got to work with internationally celebrated chefs, Daniel Boulud and David Bouley.
Dan joined The Club as Executive Chef in February 2009, after his tenure as Exec Chef/General Manager of the MENU Group, which owns the Brewerkz restaurants, as well as other outlets including Café Iguana and Wine Garage.
