For our Members who love working out, pump it up together with our Fitness Team! Come by and say hi to our dynamic Team of Personal Trainers who come with diverse talents and experiences, if you haven’t done so.
 
If you have any questions on personal training, individual programs, fitness testing, gym etiquette, and guest policy, please do not hesitate to speak to any of our Gym or Sports Counter staff.
 
These trainers can help you reach your fitness goals through one-on-one personal training sessions. Or, if you prefer to work out on your own, don’t be shy to ask for assistance should you have a question or two. The Team is most willing to share tips, answer any queries you might have, or show you how to use the equipment correctly and effectively.

Free Gym Orientation
 
For those of you who haven't had a chance to use the Gym facilities, or need professional guidance, the Fitness Team is happy to walk you through a 1-hour orientation. This free session aims to put you at ease and reap maximum fitness benefits with safety as a priority. Jr Members aged 12 to 15 must complete the Gym Proficiency Course before being able to use the Clubs Gym.
 
During the Orientation/Course our trainer will cover the essentials including Club bylaws, gym etiquette, health tips, safe and effective use of all equipment (cardio, strength machines and free weights), and more.
 
For more information and registration, please stop by the Sports Counter or call at 6739-4312 at least a week in advance for your preferred appointment. 


Group Fitness
 
The American Club Group Fitness Team aims to provide a welcoming, inspiring and challenging experience in every class.
 
The timetable is packed with classes to help you achieve your fitness goals and motivate you to maintain your fitness. Members have unrestricted access to complimentary Group Fitness Classes so you can continue to add variety to your workouts which is vital to achieve fitness success!
 
If you are attending a class for the first time, please introduce yourself to the instructor so they can assist you. Do remember, it will take a few classes to get the structure and feel of a program.  All of our classes, unless specified, cater for beginners to advance levels, so you are able to choose the options that fits you.
 
Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes that are appropriate for the program. If you are unsure please ask one of our friendly Sports Counter staff.
 
All Group Fitness Instructors are qualified as part of their employment, they provide great music and great choreography with lots of guidance and support, so you know you will be in safe hands any class, every time.

Q: How do I sign up for a class?
A: Members can sign up at the Sports Counter 60mins before the class is scheduled to start.
 
Q: Can I reserve my spot in advance?
A: Classes will be operated on a first come, first served basis. Please come early to avoid disappointment.
 
 
Various Types of Group Fitness Classes available:

Body Balance
A combination of Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates to improves strength, flexibility and balance. This class assists the body and mind to achieving a balanced life. 

Body Combat
A combination of martial art techniques modified and delivered in a Hi Energy, calorie burning routine.  This class is seriously fun and seriously motivating.

Body Jam
A combination of dance modalities built into a cardio workout to seriously get the party started! Layer on the moves and give your final performance at the end.

Body Pump
This class is the fastest way to change the shape of your body without “bulking up.” Use a barbell and your own selection of weights to tone and strengthen muscles while boosting your metabolic rate for rapid calorie burning.

Spinning
The ultimate fat burning workout! Using a stationary bike, you choose your own resistance as you pedal to a leaner, fitter body.

Pilates
Develops balance and flexibility, improves posture and creates longer, leaner muscles.

Yoga
The complete body and mind workout; build strength and flexibility whilst promoting a calm, stress free mind.

Aqua
Build strength and burn calories in the pool! Use water as resistance for cardio and result-based training.
