Keeping our Clubhouse Safe - A Joint Responsibility

Government agencies have been stepping up enforcement on Safe Management Measures. Under the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) Act passed in Parliament on April 7, 2020, first-time offenders will face a fine of up to S$10,000, imprisonment of up to six months, or both. Subsequent offences may face a fine of up to S$20,000, imprisonment of up to 12 months, or both.

Businesses that do not implement or comply with the government’s safe management advisories may also be ineligible for government grants, loans, tax rebates and other assistance. More info here.

Additionally, Members who do not behave in a socially responsible way or do not cooperate with staff enforcing safe management measures, could potentially face disciplinary action in accordance with the framework approved by the General Committee.

The Club will also face the potential risk of Clubhouse closure, if Members are found to be non-compliant with the Safe Management Measures.

Maximum Capacity at The Quad Studios

We have been advised by the SLA officials that capacity limit applies to The Quad Studios waiting area as well. As capacity is limited, we recommend according priority to parents or helpers with children five years of age and below. Only one supervising adult can stay in the waiting area to assist the child during breaks. For parents of older children, please arrive at the waiting area just five minutes prior to the start of the class to drop off the child. Similarly, please come just on time towards the end of the class to collect your child.

If your child (above the age of five) requires assistance from yourself or your helper during class and you would like to wait at The Quad Studios foyer during class time, please get in touch with the youth team at youth@amclub.org.sg for assistance. We thank you for your understanding.
